Performance Tube Systems PTS exhaust/instalation

My PTS system arrived yesterday (on my day off ) :-) so I was able to complete my exhaust. The system consists of FA20Club EL header catted, coated and wrapped primaries, Motiv coated overpipe and Motiv catted front pipe. The PTS system has exceeded my expectations. The welds, fitment and overall build quality are impressive especially for the money. Jon at Jonmotoring was very helpful and kept good communication through the whole process. It took a week from payment to arrival from CA to TN. The exhaust arrived well packaged in perfect condition. This was a very painless and quick instalation. It literally took about 30 minutes after the car was on jack stands and everything fit perfect. This system for the money is a great bang for the buck. I like that its a 2 piece system. I'm very happy with the sound and look. Anyways, on to the pictures and lots of them. Videos will come but I'm getting married this weekend so it may be a couple weeks on videos. One point to keep in mind is this system is advertised as 70mm diameter which is 2.75". This is not the case. The diameter mating to the Motiv front pipe is 2.5". This pipe matches the diameter of the Motiv inside and out. After the resonator it goes to a 2.25" and continues to the muffler inlet and exit at 2.25". I know some companies advertise OD. The diameter of the stock catback is 2". After being thoroughly impressed with the quality I'm very happy all things considered including price and service. The whole system just feels like it can breath now. I didn't realize it before, running the stock catback in comparison, wasn't as eager to rev in the higher rpms. Now it just begs to be opened up and feels smoother in the upper RPMS. I had some rasp when the exhaust was cold with the stock catback. That goes away so much quicker now. I think it is still very streetable for a full system.

It is what it is. You read the OP. The pipe that bolts to the front pipe is the same diameter as the Motiv 2.5" pipe. I'm not sure why there is misinformation on it. There are about 3 websites advertising the system with the same description. Jon said he was going to change the description on his site. Maybe future systems will ship with 2.75" piping but I doubt it. I could have sent it back but I was actually amazed I got what I did for the money. Word on the street is catbacks don't do much anyways. I can tell a nice difference on the butt dyno and it just revs so much smoother. I just run 1st up to 8k by accident cause its so smooth and revs quick. If I was going FI down the road I might reconsider but I think its plenty for a 2.0L and I still can't replace it for the money. I've seen too many with misaligned tips and bent hangers and don't fit right to go another route.

Looks great and I like the tips but they do sit pretty far back in the bumper.

Great welds, nice tips. Solid choice, would love to hear it in person some day.
