Biloxi Meet - Sunday, December 8th
 

Sunday, December 8th, starting at noon, officially, but all day, there will be an 86 meet on the beach in Biloxi.

If we can all agree to be there by no later than a certain time, we can plan to do things, like go for a drive, eat, take a big ass group photo, etc. So official announcements of such activities are pending for now.

The only thing I can guarantee for now is that I will bring my camera and take lots of pictures. I can also bring my automotive rig and take some really nice rolling shots for anyone who wants them, but the beach will be no place for that. So for that to happen, we need to be organized enough so that we can leave the original meeting location. I guess if a few people were late, they could just meet us where ever we'd moved to, but it would be awesome if we could move around as a big force.

A few of you are probably aware, most of you maybe not, but a few of us Mississippi folks have been discussing having a meet in Biloxi in December. I don't mind taking full responsibility for organizing it, but I'm not trying to be super bossy either. So any suggestions are welcome.

I'm deployed to the Middle East and won't be back until December, so that is the reason for the month. I'd like to do it in Biloxi because I know for certain there are several drivers in the area, and I'm under the impression that less than half of them are members here, so I'd like to let them know what's going on and make it easy for them to attend, if they so choose.

So here are my ideas as of now:

• Meet on the beach in Biloxi - Easy to get to, lots of space.

• Probably on a Saturday - Just because I figured that will be most possible for most people. Any day of the week is fine with me though, so whatever gets the biggest turnout.

• Photos and lots of them - I do a bit of freelance photography on the side (more for fun than money, really) but because of my deployment, I haven't used my camera in forever. I'll be very excited to take some photos and will be willing to give everyone that attends the most professional effort I can, all day, for free.

Hmm, I'm potentially interested depending on exactly the date this happens. Never been to a real car meet before. Sounds like fun.

Just let me know if any certain date would be optimal for you. I'll have over a month of leave, so I'm going to be the free-est man on the coast for the entire month of December. It's going to be awesome! Like I said in the OP, I would think a weekend day would be best, but if it turns out that some random Wednesday is best for the most people, well then... that Wednesday it will be.

I'd prefer to wait at least until the second week of December so I can have time to get settled in and stuff. Been living in the crazy ass desert for over 4 months already.

I can't really tell this far ahead of time since who knows what will come up with work, but Saturday is definitely best and your suggestion of the second week of December sounds potentially good to me!

Man I wish I could make it but I can't take any more time off because it's to close to the holidays.


The mega meet in Florida was a blast so you will have fun.

I'm hoping to make it to the Mega Meet next year.

I would love to come, but I doubt I will be in the area anymore to do so by that time. I seperate from the navy on nov. 9 and will likely be moving away from Pcola soon after that (hopefully to south florida..we will see). Thanks for the invite though.

That would be even better. I would have still gone, even though it was pretty much in Puerto Rico.

I'm seperating after 10 years. Really not a fan of the way its going, and dont feel its worth staying in for another 10. Especially when they continue to threaten taking away retirement payments and medical.

I work every other weekend. So depending on the date I'm down.
