I'll be picking one up soon. Asking here first because I don't wanna be played by the dealer..

Seem to good to be true..

22-23k, compared to 25-26k

BANGER 10-09-2013 06:19 PM

Damn, sounds like a good time to buy.
Too bad it's not a good time for me (jobless).
Hurray.

R.S-HawK 10-09-2013 08:36 PM

22?! Wow.

They're all selling for 26k+ in west FL.

Theres always something on the manufacturer side you don't know about.

If they're listing it they can make a profit.

Also, taking $ off the top may mean less value given in the case of a trade.

On my car they only moved "500" off sticker price, but the car had display audio for $0 (was in car not on sticker) and gave me realistically as much or more in trade as i would have netted in a private sale after catching up on repairs/maintenance.

There are dealer incentives, volume discounts, etc. You will never really know what the dealer pays exactly, but my guess is that this is a high volume dealer and they are trying to clear the 13's out for the 14's and this car has probably been sitting on the lot awhile.

I love the color too, this is a great deal. I would confirm the mileage and also make sure the car was not flood or hail damaged.

A dealer here was advertising a new BRZ Limited in WRB with homelink and other accessories for $25K. When I called and spoke to them they told me it had "some minor hail damage" but they never mentioned that on link to the car...

its not as simple as losing money. its about options. and now the options are (or at least hypothetically might be) lose a little money now, or dont sell the car and lose ten times more money by not selling the car at all

Brand new BRZ Premium for $22K and change:

I wonder what their profit is... They make money selling at this low of a price.

At those prices they could be taking a loss with the hopes of making it back on financing, add-ons, service department, etc.
