late fall autocross! October 27

Where: Durham College Whitby Campus
https://maps.google.ca/maps?q=durham...ed=0CAgQ_AUoAg

This lot is HUGE and we are trying to secure it for future events possibly a regional event next year, BUT we need you to come out and show your support!! With the size of the lot expect 1 to 2min courses and with a section of fresh pavement in the back section will make for a very fast open course.
======================================

I blew a tire racing on the last day the DDT was still aliveand running on snows now.. so no more autocross for me.

But if anyone is interested, this is probably your lastchance to chase some cones

I'll be in Cuba, too bad 'cause that's really close to where I just moved!

For anyone that's really hardcore, the Trillium club has an autoslalom date November 17th at the Powerade center, that's almost guaranteed to be run on snows :D

I'll try to make it.

I maybe come out. BMW is also hosting their autocross that day o.o

I live right next to the campus. Will try and make it out although I have never auto cross before, and only having the car less than 2 weeks, i may just show up to "support" rather than run this event

Just run it, autoslalom is the best way to learn how your car handles. The worst thing you'll do is hit a pylon, which won't damage your car.

Don't be a hard-parker.

I appreciate the kick in the ass actually. I did but the car to drive, I will only be picking up this weekend. I hope to see some of you there :p

I'm there!

Went to a couple of PITL events in September as a total rookie and had a blast. Is this one going to be run PITL ("beer league") style as well? Or is there any other information I should know?

Oh and whooo first post!

Muskokan 10-12-2013 10:03 AM

Newby question, do you need a helmet?

they run based on the SCCA ruleset, but the level of competition isn't too high out there :)

so just come out and have fun

Looking like this is gunna be my first auto cross event, pretty pumped!

that_guy 10-18-2013 10:18 AM

Hmmmm....might swing by. Missed a few last minute events in my area, so this could be a good way to cap off the season.
