Shorted out License Plate lighting circuit

I was trying to switch the LED bulb's polarity around while the power was on and now both sides won't function. What do I do now?

Do the factory bulbs work? If so, check to make sure the bulb wires line up well with the sockets.

No power to the factory bulbs either

Ok, then I would try replacing the fuse anyway. Another person thought a lighting fuse was unbroken but couldn't get the turn signals to light up, replacing the fuse fixed the issue.

check the fuse, look at the owners manual and it will show you what fuse and where it is located. a shorted fuse will have a broken line through it aka not continuous... change it even though it may not look shorted
