Rock damage on side
 

Oncoming truck shot a rock sideways and hit my rear quarter panel. A couple of lovely gouges. I'm confused how it did two separate marks a couple of inches apart, unless the rock was long and spinning.
The service advisor does not think it will buff out. Why did I bring it to the dealership you ask? Because while checking for damage, I noticed that there are a bunch of screws missing where the fenderwell and fender come together. On both sides. Not a happy camper right now. Toyota (or is it Subaru) initial quality not impressing me right now.

The screws are missing for everyone, I remember there being another thread about this. Sorry, I'm at work right now can't search for the link for you!

yes they are all missing, for mud guards maybe?

You are absolutely correct. I just learned at the dealership that those holes are to make it easier to install mudflaps. The pieces are held together by clips that you can't see from that side.
