Oil Cooler - Tuning Related
Hiya,
I'm about to get a HKS Oil cooler for my car as there is an all day track day in about 2 months time - in the middle of summer. So I thought an oil cooler would be a good mod considering I'll be beating on my car most of the day in 35-38deg heat. My car has not had a tune.. yet. Unless you consider a 'base tune' a tune. Anyway, the question is(for all the tuning guru's), will an oil cooler affect any tuning/engine parameters if you are getting a proper tune on a dyno?? I don't want to have be doing a re-tune AFTER I get the oil cooler installed. (Oil cooler will be installed in 5-6 weeks time from now - waiting on the INGS front fenders, so I might as well do the whole thing at once, less stuffing around, less chance of things breaking) Thanks |
No it will not affect anything, it will prevent them

I meant, is it necessary for a re-tune, in the same methodology of having to re-tune if you change a stock intake say to a cold air intake(eg Gruppe M).

No re-tune necessary
