Hey guys! Wanted to stop in and say hi. Name's Jason and I currently live in Wilsonville, OR.

Finally got out to test-drive the FRS and BRZ yesterday, and walked away with my sights set on the 2014 SWP BRZ. Any recommendations on who/where to buy from, good shops around town, etc?

Sup Natural! I'm ordering a 2014 Premium SWP from CARR Subaru, and it looks like it's going to be coming in near the end of the month. I'd check with them first, they are one of the bigger Subaru dealers in the Portland area.

Welcome to the forum! Best bet is to browse the vendor section and see what parts are available for the car, then order from whoever you feel most comfortable with. With being open for 10 years with over 2000+ Wheels in inventory, 13,000+ Square feet of warehouse space, as well as a hunter road force balancing machine, and touchless mounting equipment, we do quite well with wheels, as well as the 100+ pieces of body work including bumpers, front lips and such in stock, not to mention the large amount of exhausts in stock.

Definitely excited to read up on the BRZ and learn from you guys. Also @PERRIN_Chris, Carr Subaru is actually where I went to test-drive the BRZ and will likely be ordering from there. I got a name through a friend there who hopefully can get me a nice deal on it!

Any cheap and easy mods you guys recommend doing right off the bat? Since it's going to be a couple months before I actually get it, I'll probably start ordering some small things like the side markers before I actually get the car! :D

Wow, first 3 replies were vendors! Natural! Congrats on joining the forum and the BRZ/FRS family. We're like rednecks here. Funny, welcoming, but we get irrationally drunk and yell from time to time.

Cheap and easy? Probably a drop-in air filter. Sidemarkers are also quick and easy, but careful to not hurt your paint or lights, as some people do when changing out side markers. You can also upgrade your miscellaneous bulbs to make the car look more upscale.

@The Natural cheap and easy mod, might be LED lights/HID lights to begin off. then go to intakes and filters.

Lol Cheap and easy sounds like a girlfriend. Depends on what your definition of cheap is. My first mod was Airride then wheels and stereo. But don't listen to me i am going full out this winter with a new body kit and color change along with my full carbon fiber engine bay with hood and not to mention my rear seat delete and roll cage.

Don't get me wrong fellas, by cheap I didn't mean poor quality. I just things like the Side Markers, drop-in air filters, etc.

Smaller mods that aren't really on the high-priced end of the spectrum. Thanks for the ideas guys!

Didn't want to flood the forum with another thread so I thought I'd ask the question in here:

What (If any) accessories/add on's did you get through the dealer when purchasing your car? Anything that was too good of a deal to pass up, or am I better off getting them on my own?

Unless you can negotiate a spankin deal, I'd say most add-ons can be had much cheaper through other sources.

Went back to Carr Subaru last night to test drive again. Got a list of packages and will be sitting down and figuring what add-ons--if any--I'll want on the car.

Should be placing the order next week and hopefully be a proud owner of a 2014 SWP Limited BRZ by January!

I would stay away from dealer add ons I'm pretty sure you can get most if not all of them way cheaper as aftermarket add ons

Anyone know of or recommend any good Carbon Fiber Side Mirror Covers? Looking to get the Gas Tank Cover and think having the mirrors in CF as well would look good.

have you seen the gas tank cover in person? I have it and hate it (was installed on the car before I got it) and there are a few retailers that make cf and cf look alike side mirror covers can't think of them off the top of my head

I have used Diode Dynamics for all my lighting. They are great and love how easy everything is to install. The shipping is quick to the Seattle area too., not too sure about the Oregon areas though. I have their HIDs, DRLs, interior, trunk, and Plate lights. Getting some Fog lights from them in the near future.

Our shipping is usually 3-5 days to anywhere in the U.S. since we are located in St. Louis
