Anybody Have this Buzz/Rattle?
 

At highway cruise speed, traveling over a moderately unsmooth surface (like concrete) I get a buzzing or rattle that emanates from the area behind the drivers vent or steering column. I've done my best trying to locate it by touching/pressing on every thing between the center stack to the door itself, and haven't found anything that might be causing it. So I think it's definitely coming from behind the dash.

I searched for this, found mentions of it, but no solutions. Has anyone solved it?

I don't have the rattle in my brz but had a similar one in the ol civic.

The way I found it was simply take off the dash plastics and went for a drive on a bumpy road, right away I heard / saw where the little clip broke and the connector was just tapping the side.. Just a thought on how to find it if nobody has a fix.

I have something similar at highway speeds on newly paved roads. It sounds like metal buzzing noise for me. Sound comes from the same area you're describing

I had a strange buzzy thing going for a little while. Turned out the plastic fake fender vent was loose on the driver's side.

I was in my friends 2013 Imprezza & we heard a rattling coming from his dashboard when we were on the highway. It turned out the faceplate of his center dashboard around his head unit was rattling. I put a credit card in the space around the edge & it stopped.

Have someone sit in your passengers seat & drive around having them listen for it.

I have the same thing, it's not a buzz so much as just a rattle. Sounds like it's coming from under the gauge hood on the dash. Will be changing to the JPM Coachworks hood, so hopefully I will find it when I have it off.

Yeah, let me know. You're right, it's more if a high frequency rattle. I was thinking it might be the duct work, but right now it's just a wild ass guess.

I believe I have the same buzzing/rattle. Only happens at certain frequencies. Usually hear it on the freeway over uneven pavement.
