Anyone swapped out the Canadian BRZ head unit?
 

I'm wondering if any aftermarket unit is just a direct swap? I'm looking at this unit, but I'm really hoping that it's a simple unplug old - plug in new application.

I've never had a car where an aftermarket headunit would plug staight into factory harness. I've always used Receiver Wiring Harness Kits (Link)...

So while it's an extra harness its still relatively plug and play (with an easy return to stock).

But with both the factory and aftermarket headunits mfg'd by Pioneer (in your case) I guess it's a possibility you may not need one.

If you do end up needing one you can often pick them up from a (don't laugh) Walmart or CanadianTire for cheap.
