Volk will be making wheels in that size for the cars.

I was thinking about getting four OZ ultraleggera's which are 17X8 48mm offset and I'm pretty sure there's no problem with that. My question is about what size tires to get. I've read that 235 is too much for the front, so can I just get 215's on the front and 235's in the back with the same wheel on each though? TireRack is recommending me to get 235's for those wheel so my question is basically if you can run different size tires on the same size wheel and if it will have an effect on handling.
Sorry never had the money to upgrade my wheels before so I feel somewhat clueless... |
215's will start to get a bit stretched but nothing extreme, 225-235 are optimal.
The 86 GT base model in Australia comes with 205 rears so I'd say 235 will handle the power just fine. For perspective, my Falcon ute has 180kw and 400nm and sticks very well with 235 tyres. |

They'll fit. Fwiw, I'm running 17x8 +34 with 245/40 all around. Performs well. Not too much tire.
