I just saw this in theaters, i thought it was amazing, pleasantly surprised.

and my god hearing the movie in theatres, it was so great to listen, i thought they nailed the sound design.

Loved it. Might be going to see it again soon.

The sound of the engines in the big theater was just spectacular. It is not just a "must see", it is a "must see in the theaters" type of movie.

instant classic imo. Loved every second of it.

No homo, but thor is an attractive man.

Definitely one of my favorite films of the year--and not just because it's a car movie. It's legitimately a great movie, even if your friends and family aren't car people. If you haven't seen it yet, go. I've seen it twice already. :D

Haven't seen it yet but it was Chris Amon, one of New Zealand's best drivers, last F1 race.

He decided it was getting too dangerous and never drove F1 again.

F1's loss was our gain though as he spent a lot of time working with Toyota tuning their cars for the mass market later on.

He's still going strong as was taking hot laps at the 86 festival of fun we had last February. Lovely man and a real Toyota man.

RUSH the band

...that's the best I can do for a contribution for now, as I am deployed and don't have access to current movies. :(

I was Skyping with my parents yesterday though, and they said they want to see it. I was surprised, because they just brought that up randomly and neither one of them give two shits about cars. Or even one shit, now that I think of it. Maybe a quarter of a shit from my dad. Maybe.

Damn now I want to go watch it again.

5/5, If I was forced to make a top 10 list this would definitely be on it right after Senna (although you should watch this one first for chronology).

Also relevant F1 goodness:

Go see it in a Regal RPX Theater if you can, the audio system is insane.

After watching the Moss video you should be able to spot his role in Rush, very well done I think, probably my favorite nod to the fans. They could have just had a generic reporter but they found a dead ringer for the real deal.

Saw it on release day...liked RUSH very much; better than Grand Prix when not racing, though Grand Prix has the better race scenes. The Racing scenes in Rush for some reason are way too slow in many scenes... you could tell they were not 'racing', more like putting around at like 80%. Then you had the stupid "give it more gas" and downshift a gear to pass your opponent shenanigans....which probably works when driving 80% for the race and not at the limit like you should be... LOL. The championship race in Japan was pretty well done though. That was most disappointing thing about RUSH to me - its inconsistency of presenting cars racing on course. Racing in Grand Prix has a better sense of speed of the cars - and less Hollywood racing shenanigans. Sound for RUSH was okay in the theater I watched it in, but when the Blu-Ray come out I'll really fully experience it with my Home Theater system. Best movie I've seen so far this year; may change with Gravity though, which has been getting insane praise.

RUSH = best non racing scenes in a race movie
Grand Prix = best overall experience of racing in a race movie...still...40+ years later

Overall though, I do like RUSH better as a movie compared to Grand Prix...
