Best catback to go with Borla UEL headers?

Hi all,

I have had my UEL headers on for a while now and love them and the sound they make, not to mention the extra go :)

I would really like to add a catback system to her and possibly a HFC front pipe but want one that has a low/deep tone whilst not droning.

I have tried the Agency Power exhaust but that was drone city and WAY too loud. Nice deep tone but had to remove it for the sake of my sanity!

Any other suggestions? I have heard a clip with (I think) a Greddy SP Elite axleback which sounded good, but any other experiences from people with the same header would be appreciated :)

a resonated front pipe from invida + Q300 is the best and the most friendly on the pocket

The best sounding catback paired with the Borla UEL headers would be a Greddy Evo 3 exhaust IMO. Pair that with a Nameless Catted/helmholtz downpipe and you would get a mean growly car.

I had definitely considered the Q300 but the only one I have heard in person was a bit tinny/raspy. He did have an overpipe and HFC front pipe from memory so that could explain it.

Evo 3 is not bad looking, but it does have an uneven pipe length from the midpipe to each muffler which will cause gas to exit unequally. Also for a bit extra coin I could get an ARK Grip.

Keep the suggestions/discussion coming :)

If you like the Evo 3, go for it. Gas flow will always take the path of least resistance. I have a single pipe into one muffler, then two pipes out, and one of those pipes (pass. side) always shows more flow (and a darker color). Getting both pipes to flow evenly with one pipe feeding back from the engine will be next to impossible.

Not a big fan of the look, but definitely considering it. Once I sell my Agency Power exhaust I should be able to look at my options again :)

I really like the Ark GRiP exhaust combined with their motiv test pipe, so that'll be my two cents.

We have a local wheel whore and I can easily see myself becoming the local catback whore

I'd say just about anything. The Borla UEL really opens any system up and provides a great sound. Pick a catback that fits your sound level as changing the header will really increase the decibel output of the entire system. So if you want something on the quieter side pick the Q300 or Ark. Louder go N1, or Greddy Evo 3.

Get what your ears tell you that you like.

I might be picking up a Greddy Evo 3 and a Perrin HFC front pipe shortly but still have to sell the AP first. I am thinking that will be loud but will have to wait and see :)

Perrin resonated might be what your looking for?
