I'm excited.
Honestly, I like this option, as it gives me the option of specing out my own cooler for my super uber hot application.

Any chance there will be a shopping list of items needed for completion?

If you are not comfortable sourcing the remaining parts needed, it might be best to hold out for our complete kit.

UPDATE: Some complete oil cooler kits are planned to be available late next week.

220 F cruising around town, I think I'll be fine.

Looked around on Summit and damn... so many options.
I guess I'll take the car apart this weekend and see how the KW blower cooler and the IC line up to plan the biggest possible oil cooler I can fit in there.

I don't understand why these oil cooler kits are so freakin expensive for these cars...
On my 'Muricah-n cars I have trans coolers for 100 bucks for example.
And I'm talking about one that's the size of the radiator.

Hell, the closed loop one on my desktop tower system at home is almost the size of these oil coolers and it's $70 bucks. I mean really, it's a core, two hoses, the sandwich, and connectors? Profit margin on that thing has to be like 400%.

Unless I am totally missing something special.

Quick note about the stock pull here: Why is the dip so late? This one shows the max dip at 4500RPM. Is the whole chart skewed?

That's about where mine is

Well having one of them I can tell you it's a decent chunk of billet that is milled down so the cost factor is higher one would think. I can say allot of thinking went into the design and quite a bit of mill work-machine or man milled.

may the schwartz be with you....

I think he's refering to the core, not the sandwich.

TmP 05-28-2014 04:57 PM

The mocal oil cooler plate that has a thermostat built in is $160, the Forester XT one I'm using is the same price for the pipe and cooler. I just didn't expect a machined piece of aluminum and a bolt to cost that much.
