everyone who I know benefited from installing the radiator (even NA) at the track..and since I plan to use the OEM oil cooler (and if doesn't provide adequate enough cooling step up to some other thermostatic oil cooler) I strongly believe it will help keep the temps under control.. we'll see :) |

Well I went 3" "fence pipe" from the OP back. So one cat is deleted and nothing to resonate/muffle sound... I hardly hear the blower whine now, lol. Going to roll this way for a couple weeks. ^_^

Kraftwerks Supercharger Owners Thread
Nice Omar! How loud is it? Is it livable?
I'm going to have 3" from the headers back by Tuesday. I've had the Tomei 80 for a month but been waiting on JDL to fab up my FP & OP. I did have them add a resonator to the FP. |

I saw somebody installing a catch can on the JRSC owner's thread. Has anybody done the same thing on this kit? Since I'm new to FI I'm still not really sure what a catch can actually does - protect the intake manifold from residual oil (?).
Update: I guess a little Googling helped answer some of my questions (http://www.radiumauto.com/Catch-Can-...Z-86-P374.aspx), but has anybody installed one with this kit? |
I wonder why you guys want to get 3" exhausts.. I figured 2.5" should be enough for KW and c30-94 and even with the turbo cars the 3" exhausts becomes necessary at around 400 whp AFAIK..
am I missing something? :) |

This has been debated for years and some people claim too large of an exhaust (for SC not for a turbo application of course) even hurts the low end torque. Since the Rotrex kits in general makes a lot more power up top and lacks some low end power -as opposed to positive displacement SC s- I always thought it would be more beneficial to keep the low end TQ in expense to lose some top end (after 7200 rpm !!) and of course if it makes any difference |
