I always thought that's just what the surge tank was for. Lol

With a flat-bottomed fuel tank, you're right. Running E85, you'd be surprised how quickly you can drain a surge tank. May be wrong but I'm done losing control on sweeping-left-hander to right-hander transitions on the track. Embarrassing to lose control due to fuel starvation. :D

I've gotten fuel starvation a couple times before I went FI and yeah, definitely embarrassing :/

Daaaamn... I've had my kit sitting in the closet for about a month now but it's posts like this that worry me. I need to tear into the packaging to ensure I have everything and that all the bolts are going to fit perfectly.

Waiting on slightly warmer weather and really hoping someone's decently-priced return-style fueling setup drops. Trying to save on a $1500 solution for additional peace of mind. Probably closer to $2k when I factor in a surge tank.

We've just finished assembling our prototype return style fuel system with integrated swirl pot (surge tank). The surge tank is externally mounted (not inside trunk or cabin) and will adapt to just about any in-tank style pump on the market. We've chosen to go with the latest Walbro 485 E85 pump for our power goals. Our fuel system will have a flex-fuel sensor option and features E85 compatible fuel lines, fittings, etc. It will also be PnP, with the exception of one return fitting on the factory fuel assembly cover.

We'll be dyno testing our fuel setup hopefully by the end of the week with our GTX3076R turbo. Our surge tank is modeled after the same unit we use on our 550+whp 93 pump gas and WMI Time Attack tC. The unit has allowed us to go from having to run a half tank of gas to avoid fuel starvation on hard turns to being able to run below empty without a hiccup.

Waiting on kW tune?

I had a brief issue with the original cs guy on phone. But the manager got me sorted right out quick.

Lol not exactly...

I'm not running the Kraftwerks tune, more so they just completely forgot to have flash license loaded for my ecutek dongle/cable. Then proceeded to blow me off with "it'll be about 30minutes, for 6 hrs." I had to be a **** the final time I called and they transferred me to an actual tech finally and got it squared away.

Btw thanks to @DeliciousTuning for helping out more then s2/kw employees when it wasn't even his problem.

i work across the room from all the KW customer service people and cannot imagine any of them intentionally trying to blow you off, that is not in their nature.

please send me a private message regarding your problem and who was helping you and i will run it up the flagpole. we want to know if it was mis-match of expectations or an actual service level problem. thanks

What a nightmare. So glad we got it sorted out and got your car on the road. That thing is an absolute blast to drive! :party0030:

That kit is available at a great price, fitment was top notch and looked great.

Well my parts should be here today according to FedEx! Now that I got some other stuff done last night I can try and finish the rest of the blower after work this week and hopefully have it all done in a couple nights. Liking very forward to getting it all done. There will be some dyno tuning at the end and I will share those here with you all. Curious what power I will make here in AZ.

may the schwartz be with you....

not really, just the first batch of kids were missing the ac cover. That's the only widespread issue. I had a one off issue as ask the others seen to be one off as well. Other then that the kit is actually very nice and easy to install.
