@Zach3794 - The oil filter is something I want to tweak on mine too. I bent the shit out of that bracket trying to get the hoses to not have any sharp bends while still bolting to that location. I've just been lazy and haven't tackled it. I'm waiting for the oil cooler to do any more work on the car and instead just enjoying the hell out of driving it :)

Do you have a specific oil cooler coming? I was trying to figure out how I'm going to get the thermostatic sandwich plate to clear, though I saw one installed on Kraftwerk's product photo for this kit.

@KraftWerks is getting closer to releasing their oil cooler which is going to work with this kit. Last discussions I had it was not thermostatic but that's not really a problem for me as the climate in Oregon isn't too cold, this past week doesn't count LOL. They've also stated that the Robispec solution works as well but good luck getting in touch with him and if you do plan on waiting 6 months to get it.

The tracks are opening up around here in March and I won't get on the track without one installed so hopefully I can get my hands on one soon. Out of curiosity has anyone been able to log oil temps yet?

Anyone got the install done with E85?

I'm waiting for the weather to warm a bit before installing. Also, I'm worried about fueling. I already have fueling issues running E85 NA. Been talking to a few vendors about return-style fueling setups. I'm tired of tweaking fuel pumps and losing all power around left hand sweepers. Sucks at the track and is a recipe for disaster when FI.

I have 540cc FIC injectors and an FA20Club Liquid/Liquid oil cooler I'm going to install when doing the KW kit. Hate having so much money tied into stuff just sitting in my closet! Grrrrr

Also, for those having bumper fitment issues, you can replace the headlight surround bracket. I have two of those ready to install, too. I guess the original design sucked.

If you want I can log some oil temps today. If their kit is non thermostatic I can just fab that myself without much of an issue at all.

E85 won't be an issue even on stock injectors...@Delicious Tuning has a way to run port and DI simultaneously and it's enough. As for getting fuel cut that's nothing you can't fix with a surge tank. Radium Engineering makes some beautiful pieces. Where do I get these headlight surround brackets?

Yeah, surge tank will go a long way... thinking Dynosty's setup will incorporate one.

Port and direct injection always run simultaneously. Their solution, if i understand it correctly, involves adjusting DI pressure to increase flow capacity and possibly using custom maps to subsequently reduce DI requested volume to compensate. I'm not 100% clear on their implementation (they keep it close to their chest), but that's one possible theory I'll be testing once I can find a boosted car with stock fueling components to test on.

The only thing i know for sure is that it involves elevated DI pressure targets (confirmed from logs, though not directly by me) which I would be hesitant to implement given the undue strain that may cause on the mechanical fuel pump.

In any case, stock 86's use the port and di simultaneously.

Of course they use them both simultaneously, that's a given, what I'm saying is at much higher duty on both. I'm not nearly as educated on the subject as you or Bill himself would be, but what we both know is that he has it working very well on many FI setups using E85 and stock injectors. :) also, @cobrabyte, have you confirmed that the bezel you linked fixes any fitment issues? I wasn't aware that they had changed the part. Or am I off track completely?

They changed the part a bit. There's a post here on the forum that goes over what they changed. Supposedly allows for better grabbing of the bumper around the headlight area... the place where most people have issues.

Met with Bill from @Delicious Tuning today. We looked over the car and everything is running great, made a small change or two to smooth things out and we are very excited to get the ball rolling for Saturday. We will knock out a finalized tune for 91 octane and the hope is that we get an E85 tune done as well.

One good thing to note is that on the way home (about a 30 mile drive on mostly flat ground, some hills) I easily made 30mpg at an average of 70mph..with the A/C on. When they say your right foot determines your mpg, they really mean it. Fuel economy is literally unchanged from NA when you're trying to conserve fuel on the highway...but get on it and it will burn quick!

Product/Instal impressions:

Yes the box does fit in your car, no I don't particularly recommend it, if you do, pad your dash, remove the passenger headrest and recline the seat all the way back. The box is also over 70 lbs. Had the fed ex office not been 30 miles each way and the original delivery i stayed home for canceled by snow i'd have taken my truck.

The kit came very well packaged, divided into individual boxes for the different part groupings. The fmic brackets did poke through their box a touch and one was slightly bent but that was correctable in about 3 seconds. Every necessary item other than red loctite was included.

Also, the instructions for the oil system were vague and shitty for someone with 0 experience with a rotorex system, i also had to grab a longer bolt from one of my bins to get the oil pump bracket into place, my factory hole on the car seemed to be missing a couple threads at the top.

Got the ots tune from kraftwerks yesterday, car seems to be driving fine. My snow tires are not a fan.

Gotta thank malen@fteightysix.com he was fantastic to deal with and their price flat out destroyed any other quote i received.

Beautiful... the KW kit is probably the best looking S/C kit IMO. Love the look of the IC and the location of the intake. Not sure how much it really comes into play, but the installation location of the Innovate kit being so high up does not seem to be ideal. Love the photos.
