@Wonderbar

Any CFD testing on the Type 2 diffuser?

do you still have this rubber strip?? My HKS muffler touches the type 2 diffuser in two spots and at 1700-1900 rpms, it buzzes like crazy :(

So what was the consensus on how low the leading edge can go before it starts to catch air?

My gut, and how I mounted mine, is to keep the leading edge as close to flush with the subframe, and everything forward of the diffuser.

yeah, thats what im thinking. i have a home made diffuser, and a tad lower than the suspension arms, and just a bit higher than the bottom of the rear diff. but that is still higher off the ground than the fuel tanks and what not. it hasnt ripped off at 140mph and at 80mph i still get great millage so im assuming it isnt catching any air, although i may have to do some streamer testing with a go pro.

Engine assembly lube works too. A few drops on the surfaces in question, drive it, and then follow the oil streaks. No need for the GoPro then.

I can send you some when I get home, or you can use any foam weather strip from your local hardware or auto parts store. It's pretty much the same thing I use.

i dont mind getting some on my own, but my biggest concern was getting one that can withstand the heat temperature from a hot muffler and not melt lol

Wonderbar 11-14-2014 08:02 PM

The mufflers don't get that hot where you're looking at putting it @BRGT86
