I couldnt find any inserts so this is the route i went. Does any one with the inserts have problem with noise? Just wondering because if u do then if i put these solid mounts in im sure its gonna be real noisy.

I've got the white line inserts in my car. It very noticeable the increase in driveline noise. I can only imagine what solid mounts will sound/feel like.

Is it bad? Do u hear it over ur exhaust or feel the vibrations at idle?

I get driveline whine at part throttle loads, thats just noise being transferred into the body, and milling around town if your not super smooth on your clutch engagement you'll hear the rear end clunk a little bit. But on the brighter side of things it's a whole lot more responsive back there.

If anything go the white line route, it's easy to install, not a solid mount, and easily reversible if your not happy with the results, and relatively cheap to purchase.

With a solid diff mount unless you want 100% "because racecar" noises 100% of the time you're gonna hate it.

Thats what I dont want. I had that for my mazdaspeed protege n my b16 ek hatch. And I hate it. I like the silence of my car with no vibrations.

You may as well cancel your order. You're gonna hate it if you want quiet. Get the Whiteline diff inserts if you want more support with minimal, albeit some, additional NVH.

Well, if you need it for the weekend, then stick it in and see what you think. If its way too much sell em and get the white lines.

if it's something that would need to be pressed in with the OEM bushing pressed out.. you're gonna have to drop the entire rear cross member and disconnect everything from it... and take it to a shop to do the pressing for you

have fun!

That's an excellent point. Another plus for the white line inserts, you can do them on your back in the garage!

I installed the Cusco diff brace. It's not going to be super fun doing this.

Tips
+ Removing the rear wheels gives you a good deal of more working room
+ Have a breaker bar to break the diff bolts loose.
+ You will want to drop the sway bar so you can get the wrenches/ratchets on the back of the diff.
+ Undoing the bolt that holds the lower control arm to the rear crossmember makes it 100x easier, but it may mess up your alignment. IT IS POSSIBLE TO DO IT WITHOUT LOWERING THIS END OF THE CONTROL ARM. I DID. You will need the right blend of combination wrench and adjustable wrench to get in there to hold the nut.
+ I removed a section of the exhaust to make room to work the wrenches as well.

Yea it is a lot of extra work but it may be worth it.

It looks like the Megan is a replica of J2 Engineering or vice versa. The photos I've seen of each (Megan is pink? J2 is blue?) show different bolts. The J2 ones look too small to hold the brace to the crossmember; the holes are very large. The Megan looks like they come with rings. Please let us know what you end up getting with your brace.

The kit came with super nuts to hold the cusco brace on, if I recall correctly it took like a 24mm box wrench to hold the nut.

even my whiteline diff inserts make the car sound like a touring car with a dogbox, but I LOVe the way they make the car feel.
