More tuning support for FR-S / BRZ

HKS sent me a new toy to play with.

The F-Con IS is a piggy-back ECU designed to work in conjunction with the OEM ECU. The benefit is stand-alone-like control while retaining all the original OEM vehicle functions. The stock calibration is never modified, the ECU signals are intercepted *after* the stock ECU allowing the tuner to manipulate them as desired. HKS (will) provide a complete jumper harness to make the installation as close to plug-n-play as possible.

I'm running tests for final cals on US 93 & 91 octane gas (they use 100 oct. in Japan). When I was in Japan in January, I was factory trained on the F-Con VPro ver 4.+ but this is my first experience with the F-Con IS. So far, I likey likey!

It's too early to talk about US retail pricing and I don't have anything to do with sales anyway. Just want to let the FR-S / BRZ community know that someone else is working for you. More details will be divulged soon. Trying to upload pic now...

HKS "F-CON iS" is a piggy-back ECU for fuel and ignition management as well as new features.

Correct - this won't modify any paramater of the OEM calibration.

:( . All I read was stand alone "like" capability and saw the OEM like looking connectors.

It looks pretty, that's all that counts!

Me too my friend. :(

Glad to see more products in this space, as more competition is always good. Good luck with the product, @scmil95eg. Would you be willing to put that this is a piggy back in the first post, please? There's plenty of market for this product, adding a more accurate description will only help target your audience better.

Speaking of piggybacks, anyone try and AEM F/IC? I had one on a Miata and it was great.
