I know how you feel, I replaced the Perrin Front pipe with a Nameless Catted Helmholtz Resonator equipped front pipe and all that "bad noise" is gone, now it's just powerful without a torque dip and without noise.

That color leads me to believe it was on for more than one day. Exhaust usually need to go through several heat cycles to turn that color.
