Loud pop during WOT

I searched other threads but I couldn't find a good answer. I'm hoping someone here can shed some light on this.

Whenever I'm in 2nd, 3rd or 4th gear. I hear a loud pop during wide open throttle. It happens about 7/10 times, when I'm between 3000~4000 rpm (sometimes in lower rpm than that). I think the sound is resonating from somewhere in the engine bay.

Just hours before this problem occurred, I adjusted the clutch pedal for about 30 minutes. I also pulled out some pin connecting to the clutch rod and then stuck it back into where it belonged (might have to lube it again later). Not sure if it's all that relevant but it's what i did RIGHT before this issue showed up.

Dunno, probably. I secured everything including the clutch sensor. Double checked to make sure everything is in order. No grinds or hesitation.

Any aftermarket parts? If that popping continues, I would maybe take it in and get the ECU updated. Last thing you want to experience is DI failure.

Everything is stock in my car. Except cosmetic things like lights, five axis spoiler and shark fin antenna.

Wait, There's another ECU update?? :mad0259:

yes. that resolve the DI issue but not all dealers have them yet.
either wait until TSB for ECU flash or ECU flash mod (EcuTek, BRZEdit, OpenFlash etc)
