Got these from a good friend and rocked them all weekend at H20, the VW Car show explosion that happens in Ocean City, MD. They are definitely what the VW guys call "scene wheels", you see them everywhere on MKIV VWs. I kinda like them on the FRS! I got a lot of compliments from the VW/Audi guys, but with everyone else, you either love them, or hate them, LOL.

They're 18x8.5 +38 with 225 Falkens

Let me know if you're interested in a set, I can get them for you!

They're not for everyone, try not to hate on me too much!

Theyre fifteen52 tarmacs. Ryan tuerck runs them on his frs in formula d. According to fifteen52 they are "designed" to shatter during an impact to save suspension arms and other important parts, so they say.

Those are actually pretty cool. Id like to see the weight per rim at different sizes.

I don't know that I'd want a "shattering" wheel on a dd. Knowing my luck it would explode on a pot hole.

I hit some pretty big pot holes and train tracks this weekend and didn't have any issues, lol

Look how they're designed, it's unbreakable haha

Yeap, lots of vw/audi guys run those.

I had Tarmacs on my R32. 27 lbs in 18x8.5 et45 fitment. Not light by any means. Everyone insisted I ran adapters and put them on the FR-S but definitely going lightweight this time around. With that being said, they are strong as shit and took everything I threw at them, including high speed and spirited mountain driving up in NC/TN/GA.

I think my "impact" statement was taken a bit wrong.....by impact i mean actual impact, example: ryan tuerck tapped the wall with a set of these and instead of bending or cracking, the whole barrel broke apart from the spokes. Hitting a wall and hitting a pot hole are two very different impacts, im sure youll never break these on a normal spirited street driven car. I was simply just trying to supply the information i have about the wheels.

Last I checked, they were 1200 for a set.

Pretty reasonable price point.

Really? When I emailed them for a quote (a few months ago) for 18x8 and 18x9 wheels (offsets yadda yadda) of Tarmacs, this is what I got back,

"As an introductory special we are offering $100 off MSRP price until the end of September! The 18" 2pc Forged Tarmac F40 starts at $799.52 MSRP "

I sadly had to decline, I got 4 rims with tires mounted for 1200 Canadian

Yes, I know the F40 is a different version of the Tarmac but it is the best version ;)

1200$ is for the cast one piece we are discussing here.

I love these wheels, though I'd add some wider rubber to limit the stretch you've got going. That's just personal preference, though. You might like the stretched look.
