Boynton Beach, FL Area Assistance needed

HELP!!

I am getting out of the military shortly and there seems to be a good chance that I will be moving to the Boynton Beach area. Anyone down there able to help me out with questions and info about the area? Thanks.

Having never been there, I know nothing about the area. Are there places to avoid when looking for a house? Areas that are better to go for? I am not really worried about schools (not planning on children). Any general info or opinions on the area. I guess housing is what comes to mind immediately, with the possibility for other questions to come up later.

I live just 20min north. Typically you want to avoid areas too far west of I95. It tends to have not so nice areas. Lake worth I would avoid in general, Lantana is not bad to live in and most areas of West Palm Beach are decent except Mangonia park and Riviera Beach.

Avoid Cherry Hill at all cost, don't drive fast through Manalapan
Western areas, west of jog road are nice and reasonable
Areas west of Turnpike are growing fast, great investment value.
The City itself is being revitalized, but I wouldn't live their, the school districts suck, that's why everybody lives west, or lives on the ocean, downtown is improving little by little

Thanks, I will keep that in mind and look things over. I still have a little over a month before I'll be even able to leave Pensacola, but the move should happen really quickly when it does happen, and will likely be before december.

Seriously? West of 1-95? The biggest baddest wealthiest neighborhoods are all west of 1-95, have you been out there lately?

I drive through those areas everyday between Delray and Lake Worth.
Lake Worth west of the Turnpike has more millionaires than Boca Raton, you heard of Wellington? The Polo Fields, the last nine top grossing movies at the box office movie producers have homes within a half mile of me. They have their own private airport/ aerodrome. They throw the most amazing New Years Eve Partys.

Just East of Riviera Beach is Singer Island, old money Billionaires. Terrific Restaurants

I guess not! Let me rephrase my statement here. I hear some pretty bad things about west Boca and Lake Worth, but I guess when you go west of the Turnpike it's a different story.
