Where's the love?

Our cars are fairly rare on the roads, something I'm sure everybody appreciates. Rare in a similar way to the Honda S2000. When I owned an S2000 I would always wave to any fellow S2000 owners I would encounter on public roads and they usually waved back (if they hadn't waved first).

Unless I don't spot an FT86 in time, or can't physically do it, I always wave to fellow FRS/BRZ owners. And I think maybe once I've gotten a wave back.

Where is the love? What's up with these anti-social people? :(

Virginia. It is for lovers.

Old people and women buying the automatic ones for the gas mileage would be my guess. Non enthusiasts don't understand the wave, heck they might not even realize you are driving the same car as them. I don't think I have gotten a wave from one yet.

I feel the same. When I had mine some chick was right next to me. Didn't even look over and even acknowledge that I existed or that we had the same car. Was very sad. Now that I switched over the the STi everyone that has a WRX or STi says "what's up".

While true about older people, most of the ones I've seen up close were young people, 20s-30s

I've pretty much experienced the same. No love at all :(

usually if I see someone in an FR-S or a BRZ ill give them a head nod but I usually don't look at drivers to my sides since most drivers want to race and I don't want to initiate that.

Here in AZ, I see a FRS or BRZ at least once a day. I always try to get their attention and I post up in the AZ section where I spotted them. Most guys don't knowledge me because I drive an Evo X.

Last week, I was followed by 2 frs's. the dude didn't even look over when we were side by side. The chick waved and smiled at me though when she passed by. :)

I saw @Logical once and we exchanged passing pleasantries.

I miss circa 2003 when I had a WRX. Talk about a tight knit group :)

That's all that matters. ;)

Seriously though, most people who own a twin don't know what they even are. I've never gotten a wave back. In my friends Jeep, every other Jeep waves back.

I got a thumbs up and cheering from some FedEx guys. They were taking a break/sleeping in their truck parked in the vacant lot where I go practice drifting during lunch. Probably not because of the car, but the screeching and skid marks :D
