figured people would have some good stories about ownership or just general comment people make, or looks they get...or anything relevant

i've had a few funny things happen, first off i have a shaved front end, and no badging ANYWHERE, a handful of times i've been asked if it is a maseratti :lol: i guess some people really dont know cars.

A lot of people ask me how fast it is, and when i tell them its not they insist i'm lying to their face.

and then i get a lot of people asking what it is..the two best times:

1) driving on the highway i'm cruising and some ford escape pulls up next to me and start honking, i roll down my window and he yells at me "what is that thing" i reply subaru and he just give me this blank stare and yells "WHAT" so i say again subaru...he then drives away with a very puzzled look on his face :lol:

2) i was at a light, some guy pulls up asking me what the car is...i say subaru, he goes verbatim "i didn't know they made anything this nice" :lol:

You know you drive an 86 when crickets are around all year long

Edit: it's easy to search for things on the forums, especially since the admins did us a favor by not putting subsections as "members only" for viewing purposes.

you look forward to rainy days so you can get sideways.

no one believes you when you tell them its msrp.

little kids walk by and go "woah look at that porsche!"

you can see no further than 1 car in front of you because you sit so damn low.

your mood is enhanced any time you drive it.

every kid with a "sports" car tries to race you at red lights and you casually drive off as they hoon into the distance and get nicked by the police.

A Prius beats you off the line.

Ive been able to get off the line pretty fast once getting use to the clutch and stick but I'm not getting 31.7 MPG lol

When you park on even the slightest hill and you open your door to get out and it comes flying back and tries to take off your leg

When you turn back to look at your car multiple times after parking.

Get excited when you see another twin on the road.

Browse the forums at least once a day.

You know you drive an 86 when you can't shift into 2nd smoothly at low rpm when the car isn't warmed up yet.

You know you drive (a non-modified) 86 when you find yourself yelling "Go Faster" Jeremy Clarkson style until you're going 70mph and you really do start...going....faster.
