Nameless Full 3" Exhaust Review

Well, its finally here. Two and a half month wait, my full 3" exhaust is ready and is on my car. It consists of 4 pieces total.

Weight: Fairly heavy, I would say a little more than stock, but not much.

Downpipe/Overpipe: True 3" overpipe unlike many others, into a high flow cat, which then goes into a small resonator as well. This is NOT a helmholtz resonator. The fitment was outstanding and just as with the 2.5", I raised the engine 3 inches to fit it to the header. No rubbing issues, clearance is wonderful.

Midpipe: Connected with a foil donut ring along with two long bolts to the downpipe. There is one more section to the midpipe which connects to the axleback by a V-Band clamp. Another resonator is present here as well, so there are two resonators total in this setup. There's a flex braided section near the end of the midpipe to the axleback to allow movement. I re-used the stock bolts from the axleback as there was no need to swap to different bolts. 3 inch gasket was changed as well from the previous gasket. Quality is unbelievable on this system.

Axleback: Already had this piece on, this is the 5" muffler, off-set Axleback. Absolutely love this piece as its a work of art.

Install\Setbacks: I had a rough install due to the fact I had a stubborn nut on the overpipe bolt from the header. It would not come off no matter what I did. I ended up shaving the nut down and breaking it off. I then damaged the header bolt insert so it was not useable again due to trying to get the nut off. The header bolts had to be plasma cut and expanded to allow bolts to go through. Most aftermarket headers are already like this. (Thanks Subaru, your header design is a piece of shit) In the end, I have two expanded holes on my stock header to allow them to connect easily. Once I spent many hours getting this job done, the exhaust went on in 15 minutes. Nameless fitment was unbelievably perfect even with the full 3" size and resonators.

Results: Butt dyno feels the improvement even without the tune. The front pipe opens up the engine and the flow feels smoother. It is much louder, but the resonators definitely keep the volume reasonable, but loud. There is no drone on the highway at cruise either. The resonators are awesome! I am about to flash my car with an @FA20Club.com tune. I will be adding a JDL UEL header when it arrives. I will not be dyno'ing until I get the JDL UEL and my tune is set in. I won't have stock to compare to either so it will just be pure numbers off the parts.

Final Thoughts: I'd like to thank the guys at Nameless Performance for the quality system they custom built for me. The sound is outrageous, perfect exhaust note. Exactly what I was wanting and looking for. Sure it will be loud with the JDL UEL, but it's going to be the kind of loud everyone loves. This 3" system will be available soon for everyone in a few weeks as I was told.

Interested for pics of the midpipe, and awaiting the release of 2.5" midpipe.

No axleback, this is just the downpipe/overpipe, midpipe section. The full package comes out to about $1700.

Pictures added.

The top picture includes the piece that connects to the axleback with the braided section with the downpipe.

The second picture is the downpipe again but also the midpipe section that actually connects to it. (I didn't realize the midpipe was wrapped so well in the box at the bottom.)

Here is me hacking away at the stock header nut and bolt. I'm going to trash this header....

Thanks! Best part still to come. Pre UEL sound clips and post UEL sound clips. Going to be a hot seller.... This exhaust note has made my gas mileage drop.

They bought that car for $700. (the shop owners) The plan is to rebuild the engine, turbo charge it, and use it as a DIY project in classes to teach people about body work, suspension, engine, etc. This is a wonderful garage that we have in this area.

Why not also go with a header that's 3"? Won't the smaller header to larger overpipe restrict it a little? Is there a 3" header in existence yet?
