FS: Lightly used Kartboy Short Shifter Assembly

I am selling a lightly used Kartboy Short Shifter Assembly. It will come complete with the shifter assembly, four hex screws, the remaining syringe of blue grease, and a Kartboy sticker.

$150 shipped via USPS priority mail in the lower 48.

If any southeast members are interested and are planning to attend next Sunday's caffeine and Octane in Alpharetta, GA, I'll be happy to meet you there and let you have it for $140.

Thanks,

Mike Smith
Alpharetta, GA

y u selling. Is it damaged at all?

SilentMike 09-29-2013 06:52 PM

Nope. The shifter is tip top. The Kartboy shifter was the second aftermarket short shifter I've had in my car, both of which make an annoying buzz/vibration that sounds like radio static above 5K RPM. I've tried different fixes, but nothing makes the buzz go away. I've switched back to a new/used OEM shifter, and the buzz is gone. I love the way the Kartboy felt, but the buzz was driving me nuts. Plenty of people here on the forum are using aftermarket short shifters with no problems. There's just something about my particular FR-S that causes aftermarket shifters to buzz.

Thanks for the interest,

Mike Smith

so does this include the rear shifter bushing as well?

SilentMike 09-30-2013 05:33 AM

The rear shifter bushing is not included. It doesn't seem to contribute to the buzz problem with my car, and it's a big enough PITA to get under the car and remove that I'm going to leave it on.

Sorry, you've got to be quick 'round hyaw! People be viscious.

Although I'll have just about every mod I want to do to my car soon, so that'll be one less competitor you have to worry about.

It never ends...

Ha! I actually just realized I didn't say "for now," like I meant to. I figured it up one day, and all the stuff I really would like to do "for now" is like $25,000, and that would have me at like 210whp. FI would be after the $25k.

SilentMike 10-02-2013 08:31 AM

Yep, shifters sold.

Thanks everyone!

Mike
