1st Dyno Tested/Tuned 6AT - OpenFlash Tablet

I want to thank @Shiv@Openflash for personally dyno testing & tuning my 6AT FR-S at FFTEC with the new OpenFlash Tablet.

This post will grow as I write a full review... but so far I'm impressed!

Overall the car is now a bigger blast to drive.

Throttle response has improved, the torque dip has been minimized, obviously more power throughout the rev range and a smoother idle...

Testing and tuning was done with the following parts already on the car:

- TRD Intake
- HKS style intake snorkel duct
- MXP cat-less front pipe

Everything else was stock at the time.

Premium pump gas.

I would love to see what a tune and some 4.55 gears could do with the auto...

what did shiv think of the trd while tuning your car? some have say it was hard to tune with that intake

I will let Shiv comment on that...

but I don't believe there were any issues and it's running great.

No issue at all. Didn't notice that it tuned any differently than the stock intake. In fact, the mapping is exactly the same as the Stg1 map we use for 6MT USDM cars. Glad you are enjoying your new tune! :)

Look at the bottom of the second dyno sheet

Its surprising so see these AT dynos, so similar to the MT. It's only about a 8hp difference from the dynos I've seen.

ScionFR-S 07-20-2014 08:07 PM

Damn I was hoping to see more than only 8hp increase :/.... Would an overpipe and intake make more of a difference since the overpipe is one of the more restrictive pieces of the car

Reaper 07-20-2014 08:19 PM

im still blown away when people say that the overpipe is the most restrictive pieces in the car. Ive seen 600whp on the stock overpipe.

If you want great performance improvement on this car run header and the proper tuned mapping and you will be a happy with a smile.
