Say If You Won the Lottery Would You Tell?
 

Has anyone had a think about this? I’d probably try and avoid telling the world.

I think friends would behave differently if they found out I won a big sum of money. Money does not always bring out the best in people!

I think my friends would be able to tell from all the cars parked in the garage of the large house I suddenly own out of nowhere.

They're pretty perceptive.

Well I certainly wouldn't tell anyone until all the processing was all said and done. I might not even tell my girlfriend until then, because I'm sure it would take some time. It would be more fun to be all, "guess who won the lottery! *present new bank statement* GOTCHA BITCH!"

But yeah, everyone would find out pretty quickly once I started building my kingdom. It would either be: tell them or allow them to arrive at their own conclusions, probably that I was selling some blue meth, like the couple from everyone's favorite TV show.

Reminds me of this guy who comes home one day and tells his wife to pack her bags, he's won the lottery! She replies asking where they are going. His response: It's where YOU are going!

I'd tell my parents and sisters (would give my sisters some money, parents are good) then put most of it into bonds and such, so I could keep making money. The rest I'd use for the car. Get her just the way I want to.

Yeah I'd keep quite as well, I don't keep many friends at all so once I've invested in a few properties and have me a gtr or two then my family and friend(s) we'll get a hand out. .they wouldn't know my total though. They get what they get and that's that.

$3.00 doesn't go quite as far as it used to.

I'd keep it quiet as hell. You don't realize how money affects those you know until you have it. I'd have a small place and a car that fits my assumed income. And on the side a real car or 2 and a real place to live. Drive there and pretend I'm at work LOL

Would be a nice life.

But since I'm barely middle class ill just continue my grind to the death.

I wouldn't care if people knew or not. Being an old fart I learned a long time ago how to say NO!

Never actually thought it through but i agree with some of you guys. Its better to tell later just so you know who your real friends are.

eh they would notice me moving to a new house with a whole bunch of land, with dirt bikes, motorcycles, and cars.

I'm pretty sure where I live the names are made public, so it wouldn't matter if I told or not, people would find out.

I would only tell my close friends and family!

I'd try to keep working but don't think I'd last 5 minutes at my present employer.
