Well, stumbled upon more issues..

The amber LED strips look too red and will probably won't work (legally anyway) as a front-firing light.

Then, they are easily overpowered by the two strips of white LEDs surrounding them. Like, you won't even see them at all from a distance. I'm guessing the yellow color would be around the same intensity, so they won't work.

Need new ideas!

For every source of white, there are two sources of amber. ;)
Also if you want a custom strip made, let me know. I've already looked up all of the necessary components for this type of thing. I have not found type two (W/O) switchback specifics, but have found type one (W/A).

I thought about this too, but retro seemed to be going a different direction so I didn't bring it up. I think this would do good with a thick strip.

Ok, I have a really good idea. But first, I wonder if it's possible to polish sheet metal to a high gloss by hand?

Do what dodge does and shut off the running lamp when the turn signal gets activated?

That is a type 2 switchback. Between the lot of us, we can figure it out.

I wonder what those switchback "arrow" LEDs are in this pic..it's from another retrofitter here in LA. I might be able to wire those at the edges of the chrome assembly.

exled is based in LA i believe, is that who you're referring to? i think they're pretty ugly for $150, and they only 6000k white color, which is the reason i won't touch them..
