Is he talking about the snorkel? and that guy spelled injen wrong

I think this intake still sucks. Still one of the ones giving rich issues and bogging from MAF trickery. Only safe route is a tune.

I myself have one and I'm thinking of getting rid of it and getting a different one. What do you think of the Greddy or the Takeda intake?

They're okay. I had the takeda and it bogged a little at low rpm. TRD and drop in filters would be my other choice, Perrin/FA20club if you don't mind pulling the bumper and want a loud intake.

So... does it make a difference or not?

I, too, am waiting for confirmation

I personally never found a problem with my Injen. Don't think it makes a huge difference but doesn't bog and sounds great. I have a tune though so maybe that's why?

TopGearSolutions 09-29-2013 01:21 PM

Tune is the way to go for sure. This car really takes well to a tune and you can only get so far with bolt ons.

Marcoscrdo 09-29-2013 01:32 PM

how much are tunes anyway? is it the ecutek thing you buy?

BRZnut 09-29-2013 01:33 PM

are not all intakes a waste of time with this car? Every dyno I've seem show very very minimal improvement that would likely not be felt when driving.

Marcoscrdo 09-29-2013 01:40 PM

ive noticed slight power when i got the perrin intake, doesnt it work better with exhaust?

jflogerzi 09-29-2013 11:40 PM

Intakes are a waste. Stick with stock. Jusf get a drop in and the inlet tube to get rid of the noise generator
