EVERYONE READ THIS.

I am sorry to inform that we are relocating to LAKE DEL VALLE. We are going back to Livemore folks!

Vasona and Santa Clara county is giving me a hard time getting special permits for all the vendors.

So i have no choice but to relocate to familiar territory and a more friendly park.

ouch that sucks, seeing as i work that evening i might not be able to attend now

20-30min closer to me?! Totally can't go now. Was looking forward to that 2 hour drive :D j/k, Looks like a cool park to drive around in, can't wait.

Only National Parks like Yosemite and Yellowstone. State and Regional Parks should be unaffected unless the local/state governments rely on federal programs to keep them running but it would be the local/state government itself that would have to shut it down. We should be good :P

I'm kinda happy about this TBH, I really like the park there, its a great place for meets.. not to mention the great driving roads right outside the entrance. Should make planning the big drive much easier.

Even better, that's closer to me. My son has a daycare thing that day as well, so that just made this all so much easier.

I'm a little bummed. I thought I was going to get to see an army of 86 at my local park but it'll have to wait I guess. Santa Clara County can be a bi**h some times.

Oh crap, this might affect my outing for the day since it got moved further. My 2 little girls are going to be waiting for me and I honestly don't know now if I could make this. Price went up to $15 yesterday. Consider it an extra $5 donation. Never been to this park before but it's supposed to be beautiful. I'm thinking about arriving a littler earlier and going on a quick 1-2hr morning hike. Let me know if you want to join. But I don't blame anyone for sleeping in :)

It's a great park. I was talking to someone about it today and he mentioned that you can rent a boat to take out on the lake for really cheap... something that will hold like 6 people and you could in theory keep it out all day, and we could all chip in and take turns going around the lake in it. I told him, we will probably stay concentrated near the parking lot.

that sounds pretty cool... boating and driving :-)

As with most events, the price increases as the event gets closer. This is so that the event organizers can move quickly to accommodate more people that decide to show up last minute.
