a table for bartering of goods and services.

i'm sure plenty of people have various parts that they want to get rid of. people can bring their stuff to the meet and sell it there. we could have a table where they can just write down what they have and anyone looking to buy stuff or get help can check the table to see who has what.

a few examples:
- someone has a perrin pulley that they no longer want, they can just sell it at the meet. or vice versa if someone is looking for one then they can check the list for it.

- someone has vinyl and want to wrap a part of their car, but don't have the expertise or are too scared to try. they can ask for help. and vice versa someone that is willing to help vinyl something can put down that they'd be happy to help someone to do it.

as some people know, i like to bring my laptop/tablet and do ecu changes for people at meets. i'll probably be doing it again, but i know that i don't/can't reach that many people other than the one or two random people i manage to talk to and mention that i can do it for them.

again this is just an idea. maybe we can implement it next time, but i think it could be really useful for people. it would also give people another way to mingle and get to know each other. just saying!

I was thinking of ordering a bunch of plasti-dip so people could try matching colors before buying, or just buy a bunch and sell them at cost. Or maybe just create a some color swatches. Any interest? It's a little late for this time but maybe next.

i feel like SOMEONE would benefit from this. cause we still get new members and there will always be old members learning new things still. so up to your discretion, but i think it'd be a cool thing to do!

I'm interested. I've been meaning to pick up some plastidip soon so if I could just do that at the meet that'd be perfect!

Are you talking rattle cans or by the gallons or the small 1qt kit that you can add your colors to?

Originally just the rattle cans.. dipping emblems, wheels, side mirrors.. small stuff. I don't know if there's enough interest for the liquid cans.

Cool, we'll let me throw this out there then. The ace hardware in Fremont exit Thornton and Fremont blvd has almost all the rattle can colors. Not just the black and white. They have all the blaze colors. Orange, pink, purple, red green, and blue I believe. And if they don't have it in stock then you could probably ask them to special order the can.

That is very good to know! When I first looked at plasti-dipping, I couldn't find anything in the west bay area besides the black & white. After that I never tried looking again. Maybe I'll pick up a few more cans before Saturday. Thanks again Ed.

I originally had the date free, but now I can't find anyone to fill-in for me.

Super bummed!
