Switchbacks out of sync with rear signals?
I've got Diode Dynamics' stage 2 switchbacks in my front turn signals and their stage 2 rear turn signals. My problem is that they're slightly out of sync; the switchbacks lag behind the rear turn signals.
Originally I tried ViciousLED's switchbacks, and those seemed to stay in sync. However, they're the older type that switch from amber to white directly. There was also a thread about that type "de-gassing" and fogging the enclosure up. Then I tried HID Powerhouse's switchbacks and they had the lagging issue. Now I'm getting the same thing with Diode Dynamics'. I've been working with Nick over at Diode Dynamics and he's been very helpful and accommodating in trying to solve the issue, but no dice so far. We've tried replacing my flasher unit (I already had the hyperflash one installed, tried another). The next step is to try another set of their switchbacks to rule out these ones being defective. What I'm noticing on these is that they light up white for a split second before turning amber when blinking. I think that may be causing the lag. Has anyone had a similar problem? What did you do to fix it? |
i havent noticed. i have same diode dynamic set up. If they are out of sync, there isnt many instances where i can see both front and back signals. Id say, unless it is causing actual problems, to just let it be.
