brzEdit Software Updates & Lower Pricing

Over the last few months We have worked very very long hours to bring some new changes to the brzEdit software for our current clients. With a larger set of base files now supported worldwide we are able to program both manual & automatic vehicles in plenty of countries now.

Changes:
+support modded brzEdit Personal files
+support OpenFlash binary files
+new Logger parameters and features

We are also working on shorting the flash process over coming time and are still working on additional client requests like FFS & LC that we have already implemented.

New lower pricing bring the end user cost for personal version down with the price of the cable to $425usd.

Cable choice: The reason we use the OP 2.0 cable is because its is a proven stable unit with redundancies build in that guaranteed a proper flash process unlike cheap cables from china which will have the tendency to corrupt file transfer. The OP 2.0 also has the ability to provide on board logging function and manufacture specific protocol built in.

Couple of questions.

- Will the early adopters get some kind of refund?

- How do you get OP 2.0 to do on-board logging? Last I heard this didn't work on our ECU's.

@brzEdit i see that personal version has license to one VIN-number. is it possible though to un-pair the license form one VIN-number and move to another VIN-number?

also, with support for OpenFlash binary files do you allow writing OpenFlash binary files form BrzEdit?

Does that mean that personal version users have the choice of saving un-encrypted rom files?

I love all the editor features and logger features. Absolutely my favorite editor have ever used. But I want to be able to save un-encrypted maps that i can load onto my openflash tablet so i can keep several tunes in my glove box and not have to worry about bringing my laptop.

Looks like all brzEdit guys use this website for is announcements. I wish they were at least 10% of the OpenFlash guys more active - then folks here could hope to get some answers on the product.

I agree it would be nice if they were around more, but with the treatment they seem to get on this site, I am surprised they still have a vendor account even. I feel like @mad_sb is more of a spokesperson for the product then they are.

No kidding, look at how fast their thread about open flash got deleted.

If we discuss it here, this thread will be deleted as well.

Awesome set of tools, it's all the tools of ecuedit (minus a few for the personal version). I just want to be able to save my maps un-encrypted and open un-encrypted maps so i can continue to use my favorite editor / logger AND be able to store the roms on my openflash tablet for trips and such :)

We could. I haven't been to the BRZ section there in months. Might be time to check it out again.

i would think some cheap 7" tablet running winblowz and brz edit would be just as convenient as openflash tablet?

I looked into one for running EcuTek since my laptop is apparantly the only one that fails everytime I attempt to flash with it, but I haven't been able to find a "cheap 7" tablet" that runs Windows and has 2 USB ports.
