Ugh wish I had that much control, what mods????

mrbbs 09-22-2013 08:47 AM

Thanks for the kind words. This was at Papenburg Germany last weekend. It's a private test track from Mercedes-Benz. Normally you're not allowed to make videos but I had someone with me who was checking my footage all the time.

Only mod so far is a Cusco 4.556 FD. Unfortunately I ordered the 1 hour filming to early as I lacked commitment especially on the dry S-turn.

I had the car on Wanli S-1063 XL tires but they lacked lateral grip. So currently looking for the same compound tires but with more grip on the sidewall. Also on the wishlist is a different 1.5 way LSD as the Torsen is just to slow and I don't have the de-acceleration lock while that would definately be a help.

Does anyone know which tires are comparable to the Wanli S-1063 XL but have a bit more lateral grip?

for this, did you have your traction "off" bybholding down the button for 5 seconds or did you fully turn everything off by doing the hand brake thing and brake pedal method? reason im asking is because when i tried going sideways my rear brakes just locked up and i almost hit a wall. traction was off with button depressed for 5 seconds

Just press the traction "off" button for more then 5 seconds until the 2 leds for VSC off and TRC off are led on the dash

Be careful to practice in a save environment!

how much tire-wear do you get on such events? not sure how much the water affects the wear ...

next event is Sonntag 23 März 2014 I was thinking about it ...

Looks like you're playing Forza at 2:30! lol
Great rain control man.

mrbbs 01-16-2014 08:11 AM

tire-wear is ok as long as the track as wet. Wear is x5-10 when you drift on the dry (depending on the surface).
I think you can do up to 5 drift days with one set of hard tires.

Thanks for the compliments Synack!
