#11586 FRS/BRZ Move to STR Proposal

The SEB has reviewed the results of STX competition at the Solo Nationals, along with member input regarding the classification of these models, and is not recommending moving the BRZ and FRS out of STX. The cars neither won nor dominated the top placements in the class at Nationals, and at this time the SEB believes they are a good fit.

That was my letter, I would have liked to have seen a bit more explanation on that one or at least had it put out for member feedback. From previous responses I have seen the STAC/SEB feel cooler oil is a performance improvement, which I don't really understand.

There is also this notion air to air coolers and big orange cones may not mix well.

Would have been a really bad call to have moved them to STR.

Why? :mad0260: I will probably do one anyway since I am not going to compete at a national level. I would still like to stay class eligible though.....so this sucks. It is not so much about improved performance as it is about protecting your investment. Oh well I think am preaching to the choir around here on this topic.

Yeah nobody can really figure out why they didn't at least open it up for member comment. Honestly I would just install one and continue to run in STX locally.

Good deal. :) STX is where these cars should be.

Like Bill said only a couple were. The next two behind Andrew, Bart and Lance, were not on E85. Lance was only hundredths off Pallotta's time on the shorter course, but 4 tenths off on the longer power course. The winning RX8 was using E85.

That's what I don't like about E85, people who live in the corn belt can find it at every other station. I live in a top 5 largest metro area (SF Bay) and there are 3 stations with E85 within 100 miles.
