Colour of my FRS??
 
Hey everybody, I bought my frs and picked it up about 4 months ago now. My dad loves the car so we were looking at buying another one for him to race with me. I looked at the scion build a car page and was confused when I only found a black called "raven". Looks purple in different lights. I rechecked my scion papers and my car is crystal black. It has no purple to it whatsoever and I've seen a raven in person and its definitely not raven. I googled "scion frs crystal black" and all that I seen was "crystal black brz". Is this some sort of custom paint from the dealer?

Any ideas?

It is pouring rain out so it would be hard for me to get a good one. Il dry my hood and bumper and take a pic as soon as it stops.

raven is scions cool term for subaru's crystal black silica.

Hmm interesting, so it seems I have a Subaru colour on my scion.

They are the exact same color, same paint code, same mix formula. Just a different name between Subaru and Toyota

Yep same colors as on the Subaru BRZ and the only true Scion colors are Hot Lava and Silver Ignition.

how are you getting any purple out of your raven? mine is pretty much just black. if you look close you can see the metallic flakes but nothing gives off purple. Maybe its some sort of protectant/wax your car has on

Perfect, I got ya. Thanks alot. I was confused because the raven frs I seen months earlier looked almost purple but my car shows none at all.

Maybe you saw an Asphalt FR-S? That color can look purple in certain light conditions.

Quite possible, that must be it. It was a while before I bought my car.

Maybe it was something custom done to the paint to give it a purple look.
