Not car related: WA State I-522, your thoughts?
 

On the upcoming ballot this year in WA State is an initiative regarding GMO labeling on food and other regulations regarding it.

It looks like Monsanto, Dow and DuPont are poised to spend millions to defeat this just like they did in California where a similar bill was defeated by a narrow margin.

If this is a topic that's of concern to you, which side do you land on? If this is not a topic that you care about, why not?

Or maybe a more accurate question when it comes to Genetically Modified Organisms is: Do you know what your food actually is?

You're in Oregon so this initiative is not pertinent to your locale but the topic should be pertinent to you. This is potentially a big thing in WA State. It's a "domino" issue. If one states adopts this, it could cascade state by state until it's a norm. ADM/Monsanto/Dow are spending lots of money to stop it. The people who make that stuff that you put in your body, don't want you to know what it is. To me, that's frightening.
