Last week-end I had the pleasure to drive for the first time on my life on this wonderful circuit. It has been one of the best experiences of my life and I will never forget the moment when I badged at 8:55AM on Sunday finally entering the circuit. I did 9 laps over the day, on the first lap the track was still wet for raining over the night, but at the end it has been the best choice. I had the opportunity to evaluate the circuit and set the first benchmark without risking too much. In the afternoon I've been finally able to push a little bit more getting out the best of this flat four engine. If you are in Europe this is something that you have to do once in your life, I saw people coming from all over the world just to rent a car and drive around the circuit.
I was scared to drive with my car but at the end if you pay attention to the other cars it's still ok, although normally every 3 laps the circuit is closing for around 1h due to accidents.
I'm looking forward to do it again next year, this time with proper tires and possibly a good exhaust :D

Cheers,
Fabio

The only time I get to spend at Europe is at the airport. Bummer. :(

Very nice, you are a lucky man.

One question: is there no helmet requirement at the track?

I did it with my M3.. When I was stationed in Baumholder. I went there 2-3 times a month. Its pricey but well worth.. DAmn 9 laps. the most I did was 4.

its not actually a track. its a public toll road. modified magazine has a good write up of the lack of regulations on the road.
