J2 or Works exhaust?
Been doing a lot of searching and I finally found two exhaust options I really like. I'm in love with the J2 engineering quad-tip exhaust. I also really like the Works axle back resonated exhaust too. Also like the fact that I can turn the Works into a cat back in the future if I want. Read reviews from forum members and both seem to be pretty decent. Any opinions that might help sway me?? :iono: I just don't know.

Thanks, that's what I really wanted to know. I'd like to hear it but I don't want to be obnoxious. I plan on doing intake, UEL headers, and a tune in the future, too. So maybe I'll be looking to do some shopping soon then for a R-AB from Works. I like it.
Anyone else with experience with these two set-ups please chime in. |
or get nameless axle back then call it a day

Yeah if you don't want obnoxious after headers, I'd recommend either the "Dual tip" version of the J2 (has two mufflers as opposed to the quadtipped's single muffler), or another quiet/resonated catback option. I was pleased with the decibel level of the quad J2, right up until catless frontpipe haha. Loudest catback I've seen in person so far.

Nightbringer is right about the J2. As for the Works, you may want to consider the ABM (muffled axleback) instead of the resonated one if you plan on going with other exhaust upgrades.
I'd personally go with the Works ABM or Nameless with 5 inch mufflers. I've tried the J2 quad tip a month ago and had to return it due to poor alignment, but that was probably just mine. Also, you'll need longer exhaust bushings to keep the J2 muffler from rattling the heat shield underneath the trunk. |
