ETA: Local Toyota dealer confirmed that there IS a new pump on the way.

From another thread that some have said turned into a flame war. Good read, though. So, is there a redesigned HPFP or not?

If there was a true revised pump, you'd hear from Toyota. Don't bother. If its this "green dot" pump, the success rate on it is less than 10%. Most dealers from what I've seen in the main thread have refused to replace pumps now because its not doing anything but wasting time and money.

Unless there is a new TSB provided with different part numbers than before, then it would be true.

There is a new pump. It has a new part number and there is a tsb on it. I've read it.

Awesome, once you post it up, I may actually schedule an appointment with the dealer this week. I really hope this is the new pump we've all been hoping for.

I just spoke to the parts manager to check on my pump its apparrently on back order because they've replacing them left and right with this revised version. Im trying ot get him to print up the old fuel pump part# and the new one. He told me when he had time he would. He did confirm it was a totally different part number.

If this is true I may have them do this when I bring it back in for the little things they are fixing.
