Beer bottles: Twist vs Bottle opener?
 

Can someone please explain to me what is the advantage to not using a twist top? Does it last longer or something? I just find it kind of annoying sometimes ^_^

Be a man and just break the top of the bottle off. What is this bottle cap bullshit?

I have a bottle opener on my keys, so it makes no difference to me.

Although, it does seem like "cheaper" beers tend to have twist-offs more so than 'non-cheap" beers, so maybe the traditional caps last longer without fouling the beer...

Real beer doesn't come in twist-offs, that's the difference.

Mostly an "old school" vs. "new school" thing, plus screw tops are easier to put on on the assembly line.

Pry off caps are cheaper to manufacture.
