Today...
Tonight I got to share a lobster dinner and a drink with my dad. He works 50' from where the Navy Yard shootings took place today. He came out of it safe, for which I am very thankful. Unfortunately, there are 13 families who didn't get to share a dinner with their families. For that, I am saddened.
Was anyone affected by the tragic events of today? |
Today's events are traggic and I'm glad your old man is safe. My sympathies goes out to those who were victimized by this menace.
I just hope that morons in our country don't make it into something it wasn't. Back in the day, they'd just call it a man gone poatal and be done with it. These days, they bring in the color of his/her skin, their religion and guns into the picture. Sad day for all... |
I'm glad that your dad made it out safe. I heard that atleast half of those who were shot are doing well at the moment. My heart goes out to those who died during the shootout. :(
I used to visit the navy yard once a year when I was in HS for a field trip. It was a really nice place and it's terrible to think that a place where I used to love visiting is now haunted by this event. |
I am glad your dad is safe as well. I actually was right in traffic beside the navy yard when it happened and its kind of weird not sure how I feel about it cause I was right there but it sucks what happened. Hopefully they can find out what the guy was thinking or any more evidence at his home etc
