Today...
 

Tonight I got to share a lobster dinner and a drink with my dad. He works 50' from where the Navy Yard shootings took place today. He came out of it safe, for which I am very thankful. Unfortunately, there are 13 families who didn't get to share a dinner with their families. For that, I am saddened. :cry:

Was anyone affected by the tragic events of today?

Today's events are traggic and I'm glad your old man is safe. My sympathies goes out to those who were victimized by this menace.

I just hope that morons in our country don't make it into something it wasn't. Back in the day, they'd just call it a man gone poatal and be done with it. These days, they bring in the color of his/her skin, their religion and guns into the picture. Sad day for all...

I'm glad that your dad made it out safe. I heard that atleast half of those who were shot are doing well at the moment. My heart goes out to those who died during the shootout. :(

I used to visit the navy yard once a year when I was in HS for a field trip. It was a really nice place and it's terrible to think that a place where I used to love visiting is now haunted by this event.

I am glad your dad is safe as well. I actually was right in traffic beside the navy yard when it happened and its kind of weird not sure how I feel about it cause I was right there but it sucks what happened. Hopefully they can find out what the guy was thinking or any more evidence at his home etc
