Cruise Control Max of 69mph?
 

So yeah, trying to understand, has anyone been able to actually put their cruise control setting to anything higher than 69mph?

I have a manual and some parts of our highways are 75mph, never really go that ways, but did a week or so back, and noticed i cannot set it for anything over 69mph? Is there a limiter or something?

Something is wrong with your car, or you're not in the top gear. I was able to set 90MPH on a drive back from WY last weekend.

I regularly set mine to about 75.

Have you tried not giggling maniacally as you attempt to increase your speed? Might help. Also the manual, sometimes it's something silly that you're overlooking as you drive.

I set mine daily to 75+ mph.

Hmm, didnt think about the top gear thing, maybe i was in 5th or something? I am pretty sure i wasnt, as i was on a highway driving 75 for like 20 miles, so... I will try it again soon, been raining like crazy here, so have not drove it since that day. And really around the city, 65 is top speed, so never really tried around town.

I will probably drive it tomorrow and test again.

Put it this way: I can set cruise control in every gear from 3 thru 6. I think in some gears there is a rev limit to what speed you can set cruise control to, and this is not mentioned specifically in the manual.

I had to do this because I was driving through some towns with wide open roads, and speed limit of 35 or lower.

I set it at 88mph. Miraculously, I ended up in a different period of time.

I definitely noticed there's a top limiter. I haven't been able to set it above 85, or maybe 80. I have noticed I can set it at 80 and push it a little higher with the accel switch, though.

I haven't had issues with my cruise control. I've only tried setting it to 80 at the highest.

I'll chime in as well, I just set it at 77mph a couple hours ago.

I set mine to 70-75 everyday
