spare bumper

I have a spare bumper with light damage. I was wondering if I had it vinyl wrapped woupd there be q market for it

Front or rear?

well vinyl wrapping it would be a waste because most people wont have a wrapped car to match it. i suggest just selling as is. but it ultimately depends on the extent of the damage.

I just got bumped in the back sitting at a red light like an hour ago, how did you got the new bumper? Did you file an insurance claim?

Turbowned 09-14-2013 11:00 PM

I filed a claim, the responsible party's insurance company covered it. Just picked it up from the body shop this week. I asked them to hang onto my old bumper because the only part that's damaged is the mustache; the paint is fine. I could either put a license plate bracket over it or get a CF mustache cover.

Would filing a claim goes into your car history report as an accident or anything?

It should pop up in CarFax and can be used against you as a bargaining tool when it's time to sell/trade-in (seen it first hand). See if you can get a copy of your vehicle's CarFax, and if it's there make sure the extent of the minor damage is documented is accurately. I saw a nondescript CarFax incident take $$$ off a 2 year old Honda's trade in value -the killer was the damage was minimal but wasn't detailed as such.

Good luck!

Thanks, my car is a month old and just got hit yesterday so it doesn't have any report yet. Now I'm not sure if I should get a new bumper by filing a claim or just deal with the minor damage.
