To anyone that rides, skates, or at least understands where we're coming from...

...this is the funniest thing I've seen in a while. You don't even have to read it, the pictures are plenty.

Ride UK: Friday Randoms Skatepark Nightmare

This one was my favorite:

I cried.

didn't read article yet..

is that jagged fence in the back the point of interest?

Anthony 09-13-2013 02:40 PM

No, that crazy ass grind box/ledge thing is. Look at how tiny the deck is. How would you ever get speed to slide across and down it? It makes no sense. If you don't ride or skate, you probably won't get much out of this. Skaters will enjoy it too, but it's particularly comical to the BMX community.

All of parks in those photos were extremely obviously not designed or built by anyone who actually uses a skatepark. Probably local contractors. It's especially funny to me because the one park in my area is a county park financed, contracted, and built by a bunch of elected county folk that wouldn't know a BMX bike from a road cycle or a standard skateboard from a long board.

LOLZ...holy crap those parks SUCK!

I should post some DIY projects that some woodpushers built in the area.

A fruitbooter(I am one) might be able to hit that down-ledge, but they'd have to hit it below the level of the deck.

Anthony 09-15-2013 03:24 AM

Wow, you're among the last of a dying breed. There are more scootists around than fruitbooters these days.

And LOL @ calling yourself a fruitbooter.

I need a recommendation to choose a complete longboard for cruising, carving.

@AznBRZer Never thought I'd encounter a fellow inliner on here. Respect man, there are so few of us left.

Also, I wonder how many lives that pyramid has claimed.

edit: @No1der You can never go wrong with a Sector 9 or a Loaded

No doubt, Sector 9's are solid high quality all rounders with the classic feel. If you are wanting something other than the classic deck style though, I'd put my money on a Loaded board.

I hear you there, that church scene ranks right up there with The Raid for pure balls to the walls action insanity. Who knew Colin Firth was such a badass?!

aviat0rn4 06-14-2015 11:28 PM

I am not a skater, however my son is, and based on the little knowledge I learned when I was supervising my son... this doesn't look right.

Dave-ROR 06-15-2015 02:09 AM

Real BMXers ride in the dirt anyways.
