Recommended aftermarket mufflers/resonators on stock exhaust

I'm going to end up turning my Berk single exit delete into a custom dual catback when Berk finally gets more tips in off of backorder in a few weeks. The wife and I both feel like the car is a little too loud down low in the rpms so im going to quiet it own while im at it. Does anyone here have a recommended brand or links to parts that WOULD WORK to basically make my system basically silent below 4000rpm? Links please! Local shop already said he'd do muffler install for $40 and add a Y-pipe for other tip for $40 so all in all price sounds pretty good already.

The local shop's quote sounds pretty good to me. I'm not sure how it'll sound, but resonator and muffler will surely quiet down your exhaust a lot than before.

Are you also adding a muffler? I have the mach-v muffler delete with dual tips and its loud lol. Probably not any quieter than the single exit(they even mention its louder than their single exit)

Instead of messing with the muffler delete, why not just sell it and get a new (muffled) axleback?

Just because Jose will do it for $80 at the local muffler shop doesn't mean it's going to be quality. He's probably going to put a glass pack on it and call it a day.

Get a real exhaust.

I figured ide just use it as part of the new system because 1) its already on the car 2) ide take a $ hit on selling it 3)I really like the Berk tips 4) I get to pick the sound deadening device + $30 second Berk tip + $80 labor. That really should still be cheaper than a pre made one but this way I get a say in how its done.

Why are these bad? Just so small they're barely effective?

It's just a cheap muffler and weld. You might get that nasty farty sound from it that most Honda's have on that got it from the local muffler shop. Hispanics love their Honda fartcans around here. If it is all the money you have to get a muffler like this, I say save up and do some research and find a good exhaust for your car you like. Once you find one, you could even have a shop install it. If you're going to pay this much for a new car, you might as well not throw crap on it.

How effective is just a simple resonator?

Just take the muffler off and you'll find out. And if a local shop gives you a good price for what you want then take it. It's not like these cars are super expensive and rare exotics that should probably have quality exhausts.... and hell its your car. Do what ever you want to it
