At number 37: "It's come barrelling in with a big, dirty smile. It's designed for one thing: fun." http://ih2.redbubble.net/image.14245...0,black.u1.jpg |

"A rare combination of sportiness and refinement, like two cars in one..." AWWWW YEAH!!! |
only dozens of spots behind cars like the fiat 500, mini cooper and gti. lets not continue to acknowledge this as legitimate journalism and just enjoy it for its entertainment value

If you are looking at top gear for legit journalism, you're gonna have a bad time.
|
Hey at least the twins made it on another car's list.
|
I doubted the credibility of the list around the time I got to the Ford Focus being placed 40 spaces ahead of the Ford GT. That and the Prius.
|
AN 98 FORD FOCUS IS #7?!
|
Yeah, I really hope this was just an unordered list and not an overall ranking.
|
lol there should be no vw/audi on that list... sorry they all couldn't make it through a days journey without breaking down... twice.
|
That's list is just as stupid as Top Gear...:mad0259:
Really 20 years after the Toyota Supra was made and you still pay a premium for one used but the Prius and ford focus is on that list. http://carwalls.mi9.com/toyota/4749/...00-image-2.jpg |

FYI I dont think think the numbers mean anything. I think its an arbitrary list of 50 great cars

I don't really understand this list, but I guess it's good the GT86 is on it. I think.

It's the results of an online poll, so I wouldn't blame Top Gear for making the choices, but the people voting. It does look like he says they are in order, since people voted, so the list is not disorganized. Either way, like someone else said, at the least the 86 made it.

are we still trying to find validation and approval for our choice in picking this car?
I thought we got that validation when we first drove it and took it for a corner. I guess its cool that we made another list. |

i skimmed through...definetly not in order and definetly not a serious list, imo |

It was a mass produce car that was good handling, easy to work on and easy to modify. *See RWD V8 conversion* Its more big in Europe then USA mostly because hatchback is a euro thing. |

However if we were to say the last 25years then I would agree with you wholeheartedly. The NSX was a very significant car that made the "exotic" car manufacturers sit up, take notice and realise you can build a supercar that could be driven and lived with everyday  |
